The Story of a Sensidev with Gabriel Ciocan
by Gabriel Ciocan • almost 2 years ago • 3 min read
Today’s riddle: what do a drummer and a developer have in common? Well, according to our colleague — Gabriel, they both solve problems.
We are lucky to have a creative #sensidev among us for quite a few years now, who codes with the same passion he hits those drums. Or at least, that’s how we like to imagine it.
Gabriel Ciocan is a frontend developer in our team, whose expertise and passion has proven to be a great asset for the Sensidev house. Find out his story and why he’s been sticking around below 👇🏻
1. How did you start working in tech? Has this been your main direction in your professional life?
I was always passionate about technology and what we can achieve with it, by using it wisely. This gave me the curiosity needed to consider my parents advice about being able to separate and prioritize life in such a way that it offers the best it has to offer. As I consider music an algorithm to be guided by, I can say the same principle has worked very well with programming as well. They both resolve problems :))
2. What do you love most about your job?
I love that I can be creative and productive through a cosy work environment and surrounded by professionals and experienced colleagues that are always ready to help out.
3. Which are your most significant milestones since working with us?
Since working here at Sensidev, I grew a lot in programming - my coding skills got where I always wanted them to be, in order for me to feel relaxed and in control of what I do. On top of that, I learned that there’s always another way to solve a task and that persistence is the key and path to becoming the best version of yourself.
4. Let’s do an imagination exercise — if it were to set you aside from your colleagues, how would you describe you?
I would say that sometimes I can be stubborn {...but working on this [as I write this, …(admitting something is the first step towards cure)]}
.
5. It’s your turn to ask us something. Or to add something. Your choice.
Will you join my next live concert ? 🥁:🎵
